Einer der kompliziertesten Liedtexte aller Zeiten

Ja, im Februar diesen Jahres gaben die beiden Musiker Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo und Thomas Bangalter, besser bekannt als “Daft Punk”, die Auflösung ihrer musikalischen Zusammenarbeit bekannt.

Sehr schade, denn Ich mochte die Musik der beiden Franzosen ausserordentlich gerne.

Das Elektro-Duo ist ja auch dafür bekannt, einen der kompliziertesten Liedtexte gesungen zu haben die es jemals gab.Der eine oder andere ahnt es vielleicht schon: Es geht um den Text zu “Around the World” der 1997 auf Ihrem ersten Album “Homework” erschienen ist.

Selten habe Ich einen Liedtext mit so viel Tiefgründigkeit und solch einer Aussagekraft gehört. Man kann so viel in den Text hineininterpretieren: Kritik am Kapitalismus in Zeiten der Vielfliegerei, die Folgen globaler Handelsströme und Ressourcenwege, die Kulturelle Aneignung (cultural appropriation ist ja im Moment wieder ein ganz aktuelles Thema!), der Umgang mit dem “globalen Süden”, usw. 

Die vier Strophen könnte man schon fast als Meisterwerk des Songschreibens bezeichnen – dazu der eingängige Beat. Einfach perfekt!

Diesen tollen Text möchte Ich euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten und hab Ihn deswegen hier mal mitgeschrieben. Und Ich kann euch sagen: Das war gar nicht so einfach wie manch einer vielleicht denkt!
